Shameful moment Bob Vylan celebrate Charlie Kirk’s assassination with vile onstage celebration

This is the shameful moment the punk rap duo Bob Vylan celebrated Charlie Kirk’s assassination with a vile onstage rant.

The English group, who rose to attention this summer after they called for ‘Death to the IDF’ during their performance at Glastonbury on live TV, made the incendiary remarks at a gig in the Netherlands.

The frontman Bobby Vylan, real name Pascal Robinson-Foster, told the crowd: ‘I want to dedicate this next one to an absolute piece of s*** of a human being.’

He then gleefully announced: ‘The pronouns was/were. Because if you talk s***, you will get banged. Rest in peace Charlie Kirk, you piece of s***.’

It comes only days after Mr Kirk, the chief executive and co-founder of the conservative youth organisation Turning Point USA, was brutally shot dead at a Utah college event.

Mr Kirk, known for his fierce MAGA views and thrilling debates with college kids across the country, collapsed immediately after being hit by the gunfire.

The horrific crime has been mostly condemned across the political spectrum, although some left-wing social media fanatics have celebrated the murder – with some comparing him to Adolf Hitler and even suggesting he ‘deserved’ his fate.

Bob Vylan has now waded into the controversy to throw their support behind those celebrating the death of the Christian right-winger, who leaves behind a wife and two young children.

They made the repulsive remarks at a sold-out show in Amsterdam’s Paradiso venue, which featured a Palestinian flag draped prominently on the stage.

Security measures for the show were significantly increased, with a visible police presence, metal barriers, and extensive checks of bags and jackets at the entrance, according to pro-Israel website Jfeed.

Bobby Vylan was described as unapologetic and confrontational from the moment he stepped on stage, defiantly asking the crowd ‘if there were any snipers in the room’.

Following the Glastonbury set, venues and festivals have come under increasing pressure not to book Bob Vylan for events due to their on-stage antics.

Paradiso, which has a main hall capacity of 1,500, acknowledged the band’s controversial reputation, stating, ‘activism is inseparably linked to Bob Vylan’.

The two musicians who preciously guard their true identities, insist they be referred to as Bobby Vylan, the rapper and singer, and Bobbie Vylan, the drummer – with their names a play on US singer-songwriter and Nobel laureate Bob Dylan.

The Ipswich-raised grime-punk pair were previously rejected by record labels as ‘too extreme’ to sign and have previously been filmed threatening their own fans.

Their notoriety reached fresh heights this summer as Israel condemned the BBC and Glastonbury for their performance in which there were calls for the death of Israeli soldiers during a live broadcast from the festival.

Police launched a probe into the comments and Keir Starmer condemned them for what he called ‘appalling hate speech’.

Bob Vylan declared ‘from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’ – regarded by many in the Jewish community as a call for Israel’s elimination.

However, the singer and guitarist Bobby Vylan seemed to revel in the fury caused by his comments immediately after the event.

Despite the outrage of their Glastonbury set, Bobby Vylan posted a photo of some ice cream as he mocked ‘Zionists crying on socials’

Sharing a photo of himself eating an ice cream, he wrote on his Instagram story: ‘While Zionists are crying on socials, I’ve just had a late night (vegan) ice cream.’

Bob Vylan’s entire performance was live-streamed on BBC iPlayer but it has since been taken down.

Nevertheless, the corporation was lambasted for failing to cut the broadcast immediately after the ‘anti-Israel’ chanting.

Shockingly, its live-stream continued for another 40 minutes until the end of Bob Vylan’s performance.

Meanwhile, the killing of Donald Trump’s ally Mr Kirk is the latest example of political violence in the US spanning a range of political ideologies and affecting both major political parties.

But left-leaning ideologues made light of it, with one writing: ‘I’m not saying Charlie Kirk deserved to be shot, but I think enablers to paedophiles should be shot, too.’

Some TikTokers also reacted casually to Mr Kirk’s death, with one mock-crying while a dramatic song played, with the caption: ‘Charlie Kirk got s**t? Awwww.’

Another liberal posted: ‘Hitler giving Charlie Kirk a tour in hell’, adding a GIF from a TV show.

Another called Mr Kirk ‘a f***ing Nazi. And you know what kind of Nazi is the best Nazi? A dead one. Thank God that s***stain of a person is no longer in this world.’

Others mocked Mr Kirk’s steadfast commitment to open debate and exchange of ideas: ‘Why didn’t Charlie Kirk just debate the bullet? He would have easily deflected.’

Some of the X posts following Mr Kirk’s murder seemed to be celebrating what happened

Many unearthed clips of Mr Kirk defending incidents of gun violence as ‘unfortunate’ consequences of maintaining the Second Amendment of the US Constitution.

One wrote: ‘I don’t know I think getting killed by your favourite thing in the world is sweet. It [sic] a nice gesture.’

Another said: ‘If he doesn’t make it at least he died with the love of his life, school shootings.’

‘Hollow Point USA,’ said another, parodying the organisation Mr Kirk devoted his life to.

On BlueSky, where many liberals have fled to from X to evade Elon Musk, one wrote: ‘And now we sit back and watch Republicans ignore the school shooting today while loudly mourning Charlie Kirk.’

Another said: ‘This wouldn’t have happened if Charlie Kirk had been armed.’

The celebration of the Left on social media mirrors that of liberals in the media and even in elected office.

As news of the shooting broke, MSNBC sparked outrage for its on-air comments, describing Kirk as ‘divisive’ and ‘polarising’.

Political analyst Matthew Dowd went on to suggest that the gunshot could have been fired by one of Kirk’s supporters.

‘[W]e don’t know any of the full details of this yet,’ Mr Dowd said.

Some TikTokers reacted casually to the shooting, with one mock-crying while a dramatic song played, with the caption: ‘Charlie Kirk got s**t? Awwww’

‘We don’t know if this is a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration or… so we have no idea about this.’

In another controversial moment, some Democrat Congress members rejected the opportunity to say a prayer for Mr Kirk.

Speaker Mike Johnson held a moment of silence for Mr Kirk on the chamber floor as questions swirled about whether the father of two was alive.

Following the somber moment of silence, Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-CO, called out to Johnson to hold a moment of prayer for the late media company founder.

Some Democrats, clearly against the request for prayer, began cheering in unison: ‘No!’

The conservative commentator, 31, was hit by a single bullet while speaking to a crowd at the public university in Orem on Wednesday afternoon.

Kirk was answering a question about mass shootings mere seconds before he was struck. He was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Mr Kirk leaves behind his wife Erika Kirk (nee Frantzve), with whom he had a three-year-old daughter and a son, aged 16 months. The couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in May.
