As Donald Trump mercilessly mocked Nancy Pelosi over insider trading allegations, some Democrats agreed with the president.

Trump demanded bipartisan support to pass a law that would disqualify lawmakers, along with their spouses and dependent children, from purchasing individual stocks.

As the President made his case at the State of the Union, most Republicans in the chamber rose to their feet to applaud him, as well as some Democrats, including Elizabeth Warren

‘As we ensure that all Americans can profit from a rising stock market, let’s also ensure that members of Congress cannot corruptly profit using inside information. Pass the STOP Insider Trading Act WITHOUT DELAY.’

Trump then paused to take a jab at his longtime political enemy: ‘Did Nancy Pelosi stand up? Doubt it.’

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson could be seen chuckling as Trump grinned and mocked Pelosi.

Pelosi has long faced insider trading allegations over the success of her stock portfolio.

Critics allege she has used sensitive information obtained through her position as a powerful lawmaker to benefit herself and her family financially.

At least 70 Democrats will be boycotting Trump’s State of the Union by attending counterprogramming or protesting at the National Mall.

Others have unleashed a sabotage plot to stage walk-outs during Trump’s speech as he prepares to reset his agenda.

During his speech, Trump also addressed his policies to supercharge the US economy as well as the rewiring of global trade and tax cuts.

Earlier, the president warned that his speech would be lengthy as he argued that the country is ‘strong, prosperous and respected’ as it enters its 250th year.

‘It’s going to be a long speech because we have so much to talk about,’ Trump said on Monday.

Immediately after entering the House Chamber on Tuesday night, Democratic congressman Al Green held up a sign as the president walked by saying: ‘Black people aren’t apes.’

He was shortly escorted out of the room after Majority Leader Steven Scalise ripped the sign from his hands.
