Kamala Harris savaged for lack of insight as she jokes about viral moment

Vice President Kamala Harris was ridiculed online after she re-emerged in public in the wake of her election defeat at the hands of Donald Trump

Harris appeared at Prince George’s Community College in Maryland to deliver a speech encouraging her younger followers not to lose hope and to look to the future.

In the speech, she attempted a flashback to the early days of the campaign and the viral ‘coconut tree’ memes that showcased her awkward brand of humor.

‘I ask you to remember the context in which you exist,’ Harris said to muted laughter in the crowd.

It was a nod to one of her many infamous ‘word salads’ that went viral on the campaign trail.

But many on social media mocked the failed presidential candidate for trying to stay relevant after her loss, accusing her of being out of touch.

‘Although this is funny, let us not forget how many people voted for her. Truly a troubling sign for our country,’ wrote user Neil Johnson.

‘She should be forced to sit in a room alone and watch her own videos. She has the intelligence of dirt,’ wrote Juanita Broaddrick on X.

‘Baffled by her own BS,’ Marc Menninger agreed

Others viewed the ‘cringe’ video as a reminder of how lucky the country was that Harris was not elected president

‘We cannot thank President Trump enough for saving us from four years of this,’ wrote Logan Hall on X.

She was referring to a 2021 speech where she invoked a saying by her mother.

‘My mother used to—she would give us a hard time sometimes, and she would say to us, ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with you young people. You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?’ Harris recalled with laughter in a 2021 speech.

‘You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you.’

Despite the fun buzz the ‘context’ slogan once generated, post election viewers of the video of Harris’ remarks were not impressed.

‘I’m so happy we dodged this bullet, but I’m also happy the cringe content continues,’ wrote Dustin Grage.

While these lines are impressively awful, what’s truly concerning is that this cackling clown won 75 million American votes,’ wrote Hellen Hays on X.

‘I am thankful she has come out of hiding in her loser cave to remind us all how utterly vapid, vacuous and annoying she is,’ Bruce Hooley added

Others were not ready for Harris to return to the public stage.

‘Just go away Kamala,’ wrote Matt Stoller on X.

‘I think I’ll always have a place in my heart for Kamala, but it’s insane Dems are going on this joyful tour after telling people they were on the brink of a total societal collapse the past 3 years,’ wrote X user Gnrl.

Despite her attempt at a lighthearted viral moment, Harris made a serious plea to her supporters urging them not to lose hope or the will to fight after the election.

‘Let me be very clear: No one can walk away. No one can walk away,’ she said. ‘We must stay in the fight, every one of us, including the fight for an economy that works, not just for those at the very top but for working people — for all Americans.’

Harris repeated her advice she has shared with her supporters at recent holiday parties, urging them to spend time eating and drinking and getting rest.

‘I challenge you to come back ready, ready to chart our path into the future, chin up, shoulders back and forever impatient for change,’ she said. ‘And be ready to get back to work fighting for opportunity and freedom, fighting for fairness and dignity, back to work fighting for this country we love and the future we share.’

And she also acknowledged the deadly shooting in a Wisconsin elementary school on Monday.

‘It’s another school shooting, another community being torn apart and hurt by gun violence,’ the VP said in Maryland on Tuesday.

‘And of course, our nation mourns for those who were killed, and we pray for the recovery of those who are injured and for the entire community.

‘But look as we hold our loved ones close this holiday season, we as a nation must renew our commitment to end the horror of gun violence.’
