Wild moment a kangaroo is seen bouncing around in KFC

We’re all guilty of the occasional trip to KFC, and it seems kangaroos are no exception.

A Western Australian filmed the crazy moment a roo stopped by at a KFC restaurant in Busselton on Sunday night, and then shared it on social media.

Filming from the car park, Torrie Bolton caught the roo bouncing to a huge height, while at least two customers carried on as if this was just a regular night out in their town.

After avoiding the tables, the kangaroo seemed to be headed for the exit, but then got frightened by the automatic door and bounced away.

But a follow-up clip showed it eventually escaped through the sliding door and made its way across the car park to freedom.

It’s not know if the roo was hopping mad over an order gone wrong, but KFC confirmed that no customers, staff or marsupials were injured in the unexpected adventure.

Among almost 1,000 comments under the video, one person wrote that it was ‘the most Australian thing I’ve ever seen come from Australia’.

‘That’s Australia for ya,’ another wrote.

Others joked that the roo was looking for a feed, just like anyone else. ‘Skippy wants his zinger box,’ wrote one.

Others were astonished at the lack of reaction from the customers. ‘Bro was sitting there like it’s normal,’ one said. ‘I’m from Australia and it’s like this too.’

Another, possibly joking, asked ‘What country is this?’

Some though, thought the kangaroo could mount a legal case, with one writing ‘Roo should sue, that door wasn’t clearly marked.’

‘Nobody thought to hold the door open. Guess they figured Skippy had the auto doors figured by now,’ wrote another.

A KFC spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that ‘A kangaroo hopped its way into KFC Busselton on Sunday.

‘After roaming the restaurant for a bit, it then decided it was time to bounce.

‘We can confirm no customers, team members or marsupials were injured as a result.’

This wasn’t the only recent close encounter with a wild animal in Australia, though the koala who ventured into a supermarket in Victoria was much calmer

Videos and photos captured the koala wandering through aisles, climbing up shelving, crawling over newspapers and inspecting children’s toys in the Meeniyan IGA in Victoria’s Gippsland region on Monday.

Some viewers of a video of a kangaroo leaping wildly around a fast food joint while customers continue to eat reckon it’s the most Australian thing they’ve ever seen

The cute creature eventually needed a helping hand from staff getting down from the top of a spice rack.

‘He has a little roosting area over in the trees in the middle part of town and he decided to go for a little waddle and ended up at our door and was very determined to come in,’ IGA store owner Kaelene Shervall told the Today show on Tuesday.

‘We had great difficulty getting him back out.

‘The main thing was he was just looking to climb up somewhere and when he couldn’t get any higher on the herb stand, that’s when I got the platform ladder out and he decided he liked that better,’ she said.
