A comedian has said he was forced to cancel an episode of his beloved new series because the majority of it was about Gregg Wallace

Dave Gorman’s Modern Life is Goodish is set to return for another series later this month – but instead of the expected four episodes, there are now only three.

The comic has since revealed that another installment was made but it was later ‘binned’ as 75 per cent of it was about the shamed Masterchef star.

Mr Gorman explained that it was filmed just before the news broke that Mr Wallace was the subject of multiple allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

He told The Guardian: ‘It’s sort of taking the p*** out of him but in a very loving way, tongue in cheek.

‘There’s a routine that sets up the idea that I’ve invented a product. I need to get a celebrity endorsement for it.

‘The punchline tying all the routines together is that he’s filmed an advert for it.’

Mr Gorman said that efforts were made to try and save the episode but it was ‘hopeless’.

At least 13 people have made formal complaints against Wallace, with others alleging inappropriate behaviour on social media

It was announced last year that the British comedy television series would be making an exciting comeback to screens after being off air for seven years

It was announced last year that beloved show Modern Life is Goodish would return after a seven-year hiatus.

At its peak, the original show, which ran for five series on Dave between 2013 and 2017, pulled in 1.5 million viewers per episode.

The series mainly consisted of Mr Gorman presenting comedic Powerpoint presentations, in which he attempts to argue that modern life is neither bad nor good, but ‘goodish’.

Its four-episode return was first announced in July last year with Mr Wallace hit by the series of allegations of inappropriate behaviour in December.

The Masterchef host is facing claims from at least 13 people who have accused him of misconduct across five shows in a 17-year period.

The accusations against Wallace include him allegedly roaming around on set naked with a sock on his penis, inappropriate jokes and groping crew members.

Other claims include him talking about his sex life on set, asking for women’s numbers and repeatedly questioning a gay woman about the ‘logistics’ of dating other women.

On February 24, the comedy show starring Dave Gorman, 53, will return to the UK TV channel U&Dave for a series of three-hour-long special

The presenter, 60, later poured fuel on the fire when he posted a video on Instagram blaming a handful of ‘middle-aged women of a certain age’ for the complaints against him.

After a furious backlash which saw even No.10 call his comments ‘completely inappropriate and misogynistic’, he apologised for ‘any offence caused’ in a video the next day.

Questions for the BBC remain after it was revealed bosses were informed of complaints about the cooking expert as early as 2012, but failed to act.

Wallace’s lawyers say ‘it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature’.

What are the allegations against Gregg Wallace?

Gregg Wallace is alleged to have made inappropriate sexual comments towards 13 women who worked with him on a variety of television programmes in a 17-year period.

BBC News contacted the star’s representatives on Tuesday outlining the full range of allegations.

Gregg is alleged to have told ‘sexualised’ stories and jokes while on the MasterChef set, and openly spoken about his sex life in front of colleagues.

He is also alleged to have taken his top off in front of a female colleague saying he wanted to ‘give her a fashion show’, and to have told another junior worker he wasn’t wearing any boxer shorts under his jeans.

Further to this, BBC News reported claims Gregg:

  • Showed topless photos of himself to a MasterChef worker and asked for massages
  • Told a female worker on Channel 5’s Gregg Wallace’s Big Weekends he was fascinated by the fact she dated women and spoke about sex and spanking
  • Showed another worker on the 5 show photos of a woman in her underwear
  • Stared at a female colleague’s chest at the BBC Good Food Show in 2010
  • Openly spoke about his sex life, including how often he was having sex and his ability as a lover, on the show Impossible Celebrities
  • Allegedly told an Eat Well for Less colleague: ‘You can come to my car but can you handle the fact everyone will think you got off with a celebrity?’

After receiving the letter, Gregg said he would step back from presenting MasterChef while Banijay UK said the presenter was co-operating with its own internal investigation.
