The haunting messages by a Sydney man who tried to arrange for a woman and young girl to be assaulted ‘in the woods’ have been published after he was sentenced to three years in jail.

Edwin Carr, 41, was apprehended after he asked an undercover police officer if he was ‘interested in some meat I’m offering’ and sent a photo of the four-year-old child in early 2024.

A text exchange on Telegram, which was published by news.com.au on Saturday, showed Carr under the username @devilyaknow messaging the officer, who was posing as a 30-year-old pedophile.

Carr’s plan was to drug a woman known to him and have her sexually abused – along with the little girl.

‘So the meat is 4. Not far off 5. Mixed white and black. Autistic,’ Carr wrote.

He asked the officer whether he had ‘experience’, adding that ‘obviously some men flake out due to nerves’. 

‘Have you an idea of what you’ll do? I’d pretty much cuck and help keep her still. I’m thinking maybe an inflatable and a hire van or something like that. In the woods,’ he said.

Carr told the officer that he was hunting for a candidate to spike and assault a woman, known to him.

‘Looking a while … If it’s just the kid U want. Fine,’ he said.

‘If I could get away with it, I’d just forget the spiking of her drink and have her [abused] by thugs. 

‘But like you, I’m not trying to get caught. That’s why I gotta plan it carefully.’

The messages also revealed a vile initial plan that he was originally considering organising for a ‘HIV guy’ to abuse the girl.

‘Mmm … what changed your mind?’ the undercover officer wrote.

‘I haven’t. She’s half black. As well as an HIV guy, I thought a neo Nazi would like to leave his mark in her also,’ Carr said.

‘I really try to think offensively.’

The woman and child cannot be identified for legal reasons.

Carr blocked the officer after a month of planning on March 8, 2024, after ‘losing trust’ in his imagined accomplice, news.com.au reports.

His apartment in Liverpool was then raided by police the following day.

Carr told police the plan ‘never would have transpired’ and he found the conversation ‘kind of weird’, court documents seen by News Corp said.

‘I was talking but I was never going to meet anybody,’ he told officers when he was arrested.

‘I found interesting about the stuff we were talking about. But I’m not like into it.’

Carr was charged with pleading guilty to intentionally inciting another person to sexually touch a child under 10, and to inciting a third party to sexually touch another person without consent. 

He was sentenced to three years and nine months in jail last week.

The judge gave Carr a 25 per cent discount for pleading guilty on the first occasion. He is eligible for parole on June 8, 2026.
