Motorbike club joins fresh wave of tributes for King’s School graduate Oscar Todd after his sudden death

A motorcycle club in country NSW has paid tribute to one of its own after a recent graduate of The King’s School died in a tragic accident over the weekend.

Oscar Todd, who finished at the prestigious Sydney school in 2025, died just six months after one of his peers tragically drowned during Schoolies week.

King’s said Oscar was seriously injured in an accident in North Queensland on Saturday and sadly died a few days later on Monday.

Condo Auto Sports Club, located in Condobolin in the Central West region of NSW, shared a heartfelt tribute to Oscar on Thursday.

‘On behalf of the committee and all members, we extend our deepest condolences to you and your family during this incredibly difficult time,’ a Facebook post read.

‘There are no words that can ease the pain of such a tragic loss, but please know our club stands beside you with support, respect, and heartfelt sympathy.

‘Your son will never be forgotten, and our thoughts are with you always.’

Oscar grew up in Condobolin and was a boarder at King’s. It’s understood his family operates a large sheep farm and is well-respected in the local community.

‘Oscar was a gifted visual artist and talented sportsman. He brought creativity and imagination to all he undertook,’ The King’s School said in a statement this week.

‘He was a valued member of the 4th XV in Rugby and powered the 1st IV at the Head of the River.

‘He also served with distinction as a Staff Sergeant in The King’s School Cadet Corps Quartermaster Platoon.

‘His warmth, humour and steady presence made him a treasured friend to many and a young man admired by staff and students alike.’

Dozens of friends shared their memories of Oscar.

‘Oscar was such a warm and kind person to have around the boarding house. He was so well respected by all of the other boys,’ one person wrote.

‘He will be missed, but I have no doubt his impact on the younger boys he mentored and supported will live on.’

‘What a massive loss. Oscar was such a beautiful soul who was loved by everyone,’ another person commented.

‘What a legend of a man. Gone too young,’ a third said.

While official details surrounding Oscar’s death have not been confirmed, the shock of his passing has intensified the grief felt across The King’s School community.

His passing comes less than six months after the death of classmate Astin Gerstl, who died while on Schoolies on Little Bay Beach on the NSW Mid North Coast.

Astin’s friends and locals tried their best to rescue the teenager but he disappeared beneath the water before they could reach him.

His remains were discovered on the beach the following day.

Astin’s mother, Amy Cartwright, reached out to Todd’s parents on The King’s School online tribute on Thursday.

‘I know the nightmare all too well,’ she said. ‘I’m sure it’s all an awful blur right now.’
