An outrageous reply to a break-up text has exploded online after a Queensland woman was stunned by a jaw-dropping response from a man she had been dating.

Brisbane real estate agent Jess Nugent sent the message to a man she described as a ‘situationship’, explaining she wanted to end things in order to ‘protect her peace’.

But his reply left her so shocked she felt compelled to share it online. 

The screenshot quickly went viral, racking up millions of views, and sparking both outrage and a flood of hilarious reactions with thousands weighing in on the post.

Ms Nugent first texted: ‘I realised that you can’t provide the respect I deserve which really, really upsets me.

‘I know you think I’m dramatic or whatever, but I’m not going to allow people to stay in my life who constantly make me feel small.’

But she never expected his reply, admitting he’d not been prioritising her because he had been seeing three other women at the same time. 

‘Fair, so sorry I thought I could balance a four-girl roster but I’m just so busy and obviously you live in Brissy which is, like, super inconvenient,’ it read.

The man then cruelly compared his time with Ms Nugent to that with the other women and blamed her for the split. 

‘You honestly were just getting outperformed by the other girls. Good on you for finding some standards tho, I love seeing my girls grow xx all the best luv. ‘

Stunned by the response, Ms Nugent then shared screenshots of the exchange on TikTok, simply captioning the post: ‘So rattled.’

The clip quickly gained traction, amassing almost 13million views and more than 12,000 comments as social media users reacted in disbelief.

‘Damn it, exit interview turned into a performance review,’ one person joked.

‘The part about outperforming would haunt me for the rest of my life,’ another added.

‘Dude said, “It’s not me and the other three, it’s you”,’ another said.

While Ms Nugent was initially floored by his reply, she later saw the funny side and responded to several comments poking fun at the situation.

Amid the flood of reactions, hundreds of commenters were left asking the same question about the mystery man, after he confidently confessed to seeing four women at once.

‘Please, I need to know what he looks like,’ begged one person.

‘I desperately need to know what this man looked like,’ echoed another.

But Ms Nugent has so far remained tight-lipped about his identity.

Others questioned why she shared the exchange at all, with one insisting, if it had been her: ‘Only him, me and God would have seen this text.’

But Ms Nugent said she ‘…needed the whole world to feel this one with me.’
