An international student has recalled the terrifying moment he was allegedly beaten with a metal pole during a neighbourhood dispute.
Emergency services were called to a Plumpton home in western Sydney about 11.40pm last Wednesday, following reports of an alleged assault.
They arrived to find a group of Pakistani students assisting their housemate Talha Javed, 22, who was lying injured on the concrete driveway.
Footage capturing the confrontation allegedly showed their neighbour approaching the house brandishing a metal pole.
He can be heard repeatedly telling the young men to ‘keep the f****** noise down’.
Cameraman Jawad Ali is heard claiming in the clip, ‘I never did anything, brother’.
Moments later, Mr Javed appeared from the home to inquire about the commotion.
‘What happened?’ he asked the neighbour, who then allegedly attacked him with the pole.
The neighbour went to the home occupied by a group of international students, asking them to keep ‘noise’ down
The situation escalated as the neighbour allegedly attacked one of the students with a pole
A thud was heard as Mr Javed fell to the ground and was knocked unconscious after hitting his head against a car parked in the driveway.
The alleged attacker is seen walking away as Mr Javed’s friends rushed to his aid.
‘Call the police,’ a concerned housemate is heard saying.
Mr Javed suffered internal bleeding and was rushed to Nepean Hospital.
He also required stitches to a gash to his head.
‘He just (allegedly) slammed me with an iron rod and the next thing I know, I’m in hospital,’ a shaken Mr Javed told Nine News on Sunday.
‘I’m like feeling dizzy and the pain and the headache, it’s not going away.
‘I’m still scared as that’s not what I was expecting to happen in Sydney.’

Mr Javad has been told by doctors that it could take him two months to fully recover.
Police later arrested a man, who was charged with common assault and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Saipele Levi Paila, 40, spent the night in a police cell before he appeared at Mt Druitt Local Court on Thursday.
He was bailed to appear before Penrith Local Court on April 4.
He is barred from living or going near his Plumpton home as part of his strict bail conditions.
The students insisted they weren’t had not been making noise at the time of the incident, which they claimed was unprovoked.
‘We don’t do parties, we don’t have even a music speaker in our house,’ Mr Ali told Seven News.
He added they had even given police permission to inspect the house for any speakers to support the claim.
The students are now considering to relocate elsewhere.
