Syrian opposition reach Damascus countryside in rapid advance

Syrian opposition forces have reached the countryside around Damascus in a rapid advance. Video from the town of Jaramana showed residents toppling a statue of President Bashar al-Assad’s father, and Syrian forces were seen withdrawing elsewhere.
