A Brazilian influencer who went into heart failure in the delivery room revealed the heartwarming moment she held her newborn son for the first time.

Juliana Perdomo experienced complications while delivering Zac Perdomo on July 26 at Albert Einstein Hospital in the southeastern city of Goiánia and had to be intubated for eight days.

The now mother-of-three did not report any issues during her pregnancy, but was later diagnosed with amniotic fluid embolism when the fluid surrounding the embryo entered her bloodstream and affected the cardiovascular system.

The 34-year-old influencer was discharged from the intensive care unit Saturday and was placed in a room, from where she live streamed the moment she reunited with her two children and her husband.

She struggled to stop her tears when Zac was placed in her arms by the hospital staff.

Perdomo on Monday posted a reel of her hospital stay that showed her sedated after giving birth and the much happier times that followed as she interacted with the hospital staff and her loved ones

‘I have no words to thank you for all the love and affection,’ she wrote to her 1.1 million followers on Instagram.

‘From the beginning of everything that happened in Iporá, until here in Goiânia! First of all, I would like to thank God for keeping my life in his hands and holding me in his arms so that I could get through this without any after-effects.

‘How good it is to be able to live, breathe, drink water, walk,’ she added. ‘I used to be so grateful for so many simple everyday things, imagine now.’

On Monday, she shared a series of pictures of Zac – that were snapped minutes after he was born – along with a heartfelt message for him.

‘My son, you were born a day after my birthday and on your birthday, we will celebrate our lives together every day the 26th,’ Perdomo wrote.

‘Living all this for you made us stronger, made us braver, made us learn to be even more grateful for every little thing we were before you came into this world.

‘You taught us a lot in these 9 days of life! You were already born giving us the courage to live, face your fears, not give up even thinking there would be no escape!’

Perdomo is known for sharing gastronomy tips on her Instagram as well as on her YouTube channel, which has more than 600,000 subscribers.
